If You would REALLY think about it, just expensing the big ticket items is going to increase Sales of items.
That Helps the cos you mentioned...and so they end up paying tax on sales, they'll get used to it.
( btw, 3 of those cos you mention pay little to NO income tax ( they supposedly only make NET money approx 1 year out of 5 to 7 years).
Granted your's is a bad guess because your likely paying little to no tax because of your supposed depreciation now.
Thought process change IS Tough ( and as mentioned, in the usa everyone is supposedly special ).
Problem folks like farmers have with basically living off depreciation, is that in the long run THAT is ALL taxed down the road anyway ( thus never was a true deduction...just another tax payment delay ).
( depreciate it all out...get to the end of the line and the stuff sells for way more than depreciated values and it's ALL strait income then too...that simple )
