Eastern Nebraska | This is one of my favorite ways to do round steak.... Put the steak in a ziploc boag - about 2 pounds...... add half a bottle of italian dressing, about 1/4 cup soy sauce and 1/4 cup water.... can squeeze in some fresh lemone juice if you wish... Mix it all up together in the bag and put it in the fridge for 24 hours..... turn the beag everytime someone opens the fridge... Grill the next day for supper..... had this last night.... It is tasty....
Another way is for beff stroganoff.... slice steak thin, sprinkle with salt and pepper and brown in a skillet. Add beef broth to cover, 1 medium onion chopped up, 8 ounces fresh mushrooms and simmer about 30 minutes. Add 1 cup ketchup and heat through. Add small container sour cream and cook just until heated. Serve over rice or your favorite pasta.... I like pasta best for this one. | |
