Kansas | Here's one I see quite a bit; when pulling onto another road off a highway people will turn soon as they can so they are turning into the oncoming lane, where you take the chance of getting hit if they don't see you. I always pull on the right way and have had several about hit me from behind or side because they turn short as they can. Is an extra 1-2 seconds worth an accident?
As to farm related; farmers who don't use their flashers or don't put the extremity flashers (over duals or end of headers) where they belong. The excuse of "if they can't see the combine/tractor having a blinking light isn't going to make a difference" just doesn't hold water. It draws a little more attention and could save a mirror or side panel. | |
