Aberdeen MS | Detto has a program called intellimover that was recommended on a previous post moving files from old computer to a new computer.
Tagged onto that download was a program for moving files between 2 computers via a USB cable (comes with the package). File mover might be available as a stand alone???? google Detto, it's possible maybe.
I couldn't get intellimover to function when I upgraded to a new computer (said incompatible OS.. XP home SP1 to XP home SP2) but the file mover program did work well to move any file I selected. $58 included the shipping if I remember correctly. Not that bad of a way to go. File mover puts up a split screen on both computers with a click and drag method of moving them from computer to computer.
Can't help on the second situation tho. | |
