![](http://www.carlhobbsag.com/agtag1_CHAgsSm.JPG) Ashburn, GA, (very close to Heaven!) | I'd have to go LASER over ink. Neither of these is very fast, IMO, as the 2600 runs 8 ppm b&w and 8 ppm color with 600 x 600 dpi, the 2605 runs 12 & 10, well worth the extra, still 600 x 600 dpi. I like speed, resolution, reasonably priced toner refills of a decent page capacity, one that is network ready, and a good price. We bought an OKI5500N back in early December from Staples, and turned out a lot of soil sample books and maps this winter. It has a higher resolution, rated at 24 b&w ppm and 20 color ppm, network ready, and competitively priced. So far, so good with this machine. I estimate I'll save enough on ink to pay for the printer in the second year, not to mention what I save in time with a fast document output. Laser documents are not wet when they come out and sweat dripping from my face nor other moisture will make a laser document "run". |
