SESD | CRJ, that is where you are wrong. The religious powers in charge, ie, the pharisees, did not write the bible. If you believe what is says, the authors of the bible were inspired by the Lord. Also the bible says that God will preserve his word, which he has done even though you think not. And if you would look past your simplistic "liberal" interpretation of the bible you would realize that it is not just a book of wisdom. It is a guide/rule book for our life here on this earth.
Saying you don't think "god" wouldn't send people to hell based on things out of their control is naive. It is in everyone's control to believe or not believe and that is what will determine our eternity.
A belief in evolution means that you don't believe in the God of the bible. The God in the bible tells us how the universe was created. The God in the bible has not the character of one who would use a process like evolution to produce life. Evolution is in exact dissagreement with the bible on many things, so you decide, evolution or God. Evolution is a religion, no matter what anyone tells you.
If you believe in "universal salvation" then what "saves" you?? | |
