| I have been reading on this site and felt it was time to introduce myself.
I am a grad student studying weed science. I am working on round up and ALS resistant pigweed. I am doing some greenhouse projects to determine the level of resistance in our state. I am also doing some field trials with cotton and soybeans to find alternate spray programs, particularly in the ignite based systems. I will finish my masters in a little over a year and then who knows. I may go on to get a PHD or go out in the work force. It depends on the job market when I am done.
I am not a conventional grad student however. I am 28 years old and have a wife and a 17 month old daughter. My wife and I both got laid off close to a year ago and the job market was bleak where we were living. So I decided to go to grad school and my wife decided to go back to school for another bachelors, this time in nursing.
I really enjoy this site and hope to continue posting here fora long time to come. | |
