Southeast Colorado | I'm obviously not as intelligent as most of you folks that post on here, but it there any way that a private bank could be set up today and not put the FDIC insurance in place? Could they actually advertise their financial strength and show the cost savings of not having the insurance as an advantage to their customers? I'm thinking the govt. has probably disallowed this somehow, but you would think in a free country any non-corupt business venture should be allowed. | |
