So on a cost comparison the older generations could create more revenue with their dollars creating better risk/ reward . Is that part of what fueled the expansion in the 70s. Why did they see fit to squeeze everyone with intrest rates in the 80's . That wiped out a generation of farmers which has killed small town usa. I hung up sale bills in the 80's for and auction firm everyday packets came in the mail. Mom would take us to town and we would put them up in the businesses. Got paid 4$ per sale which made pretty good change every week. I was always happy to see that brown envelope come in the mail . I didn't realize at the time what was going on. Does anyone think that they will return intrest rates to the double digit levels? In the 80's what was the rest of the economy like?
