Red River Valley | Yes P-eod the trading funds are short the nearly 65,000 contracts of corn and 17,400 of beans but just think were prices would be if the Index funds were not long 452,000 contracts of corn and 170,000 contracts of beans 220,000 contracts of wheat.
Net net the funds are still our freinds and the biggest risk is when they leave and unwind these long positions
Anybody please tell me if you were a speculator and knew that an producer had 4.5 billion bu. of corn that needed to be sold and a total of 2.0 bb that really had no home would you get long or short.
