Mascoutah, Illinois | S.C., in your opinion why would folks be buying gold here? Is it inflation or a currency hedge? It appears the "fear trade" has subsided for now. If I am looking back at the 1970's when gold touched $890, it was on inflation concerns.
Did you hear about or read the FOMC minutes? It appears Bernanke and the gang are not raising rates anytime soon. Is is possible "Helicopter Ben" is going to let inflation get out of control intentionally as the best tool to fix this mess? If the markets melt upward, you could create enormous wealth in 18-24 months. 7-10% GDP would cure many tax receipt issues for all states and the Federal Government.
