FWIW, the U.S. economy before oil was mainly agrarian. Energy density of our sources allows us to have the economy we have today.

Be interesting to see the numbers, for example, what percentage of our transportation fuels are oil or petroleum based? What percentage of our electricity unconventionally generated?

So, what are you saying? Are you saying that we are switching away from petroleum usage? Or, are you saying that we are developing an economy not dependent on energy, or?
