USA | $65,000 should set a person up with on farm NH3 storage and 2 1000 gal wagons. $65,000- 35% tax savings =$42,250 x 5% =$2112 year money cost.
200 acres corn @ $2112 = $10.56 acre. $ 50 ton savings on NH3 x 20 ton = $1000
10 year pay off = $4225- $1000 = $3225@ 200 acres = $16.12 acre+ $10.56 =$26.68 acre cost for 200 acres of corn.
Doesn't look like a budget breaker to me for having independence, even with 200 acres of corn.
