I know a lot of people about our age who have said that...heck, I may have even said it at some point....but I think overall the education has served me pretty well, even though it did perhaps cost me some "golden opportunities" of the times. 

Bailouts, subsidies, tariffs, supports, and quotas all interfere with the market smoothly clearing.    I'm opposed to all of the above as a matter of policy, however those kind of decisions are above my pay grade I guess.
