In the long run, of course, you are correct. But, what are business cycles? Aren't business cycles basically the free market making adjustments? The results of many, many micro decisions that finally overwhelm the macro? No doubt, I mean, the results are what they are, and it's the most efficient way to have it happen, which is why all the bank bailouts a year ago were just atrocious, and the housing bailouts going on now are no better.

Oh, and FWIW, looking back, the best thing I could've done was skipped college and started buying $400 an acre ground in the late 80's. That ground now is bringing $4000.
