The only reason that $3 corn and $9 beans aren't profitable is because enough farmers have bought into the line of crap telling them that they need to farm X number of acres in order to be competitive.

In buying into this idea they are simply transferring all of the could be profit to the land owners by bidding ridiculous $ into rents and land prices.

This happens no matter what the price or yield is so if you think that having $10 corn and $30 beans will make you a fortune you had better own the land.
