even a lower price will work. But, then comes along that year that you have a crop failure, sometimes back to back, but make just enough to not collect crop ins. and the little you make doens't half cover the cost of prod. because overproduction from previous years has the price beat down. At that point, you start digging a real deep hole that is oh so hard to fill back in. BTDT way to many times. Whereas if the prices are good, you can get by not making a real good crop. BTDT also.

Because MOTHER NATURE rules. You can do the best job in the world in growing a crop, but mother nature holds the trump card.
