After about $7,000.00 in lawyer bills, the neighbor that started the line dispute with us settled during mitigation for EXACTLY what I offered them when we were sitting at our dining room table two years before the mitigation meeting. We are right on the Western Wright/Meeker Conty line. The only "good" that came from mitigation is that all of the lines we share with this neighbor were "fixed" and officially recorded at the courthouse because most of the lines we share with this neighbor ran at an angle to modern day GPS lines due to County line "corrections" made by surveyors...and former landowners when Wright and Meeker County were first surveyed. And we learned that barbed wire fences constructed several decades/several generations ago that we always abided by are pretty much meaningless line markers here.
