s nd | Back in the 70's had a fence a mile long as border of middle of section. We claimed adverse possession and lost. I blamed my folks poor lawyer. Then heard from other party later in life a line in question doesn not qualify. Or has been argued isn't right. I never heard from my folks that that was the case with this one, but I was in my late teens. State line marker between nd/sd lined up with the old fence. Moved to new line. Big fight with relatives. I always wondered how many neighbor to neighbor line deals were made with a handshake or a couple cows and a pig and never recorded. | |
