It seems all we talk about is the negative on this matter. I know a person who bought land and had it surveyed and told the neighbor that the fence line was 15 foot onto his property and wanted it moved to the supposed GPS line. The fence line runs a mile long and is in a straight line and has been there for as long as anyone can remember. When you buy land at an auction it says x amount of acres more or less because nothing is perfectly accurate no matter what method is used. If there is a definite boundary 'like an old fence line etc that should be the boundary because it was an accepted boundary for many years. A boundary that has been accepted for years should remain that way no matter what and not be superseded by a supposedly more accurate measurement, If it isn't exactly accurate would you move the fence line to exactly where it belongs.. It would be a lawyers wildest dream situation as everyone would be fighting over boundaries
