I remember planting alot of oats on "idle acres". They were mostly around the entire field, the end rows, or dryland corners. The crop was supposed to be plowed under and not used for grain. I remember my dad combining my grandpa and neighbor square baling and I was following in the disc. All got used through pigs. I mean it all got plowed under lol. Was that part of soil bank? To young to remember.
