scmn | Tax/title/license are calculated sepereate of vehicle value and are seperate line item on settlement. SF will prorate registration on old and cover tax based on value and title fees in final settlement. FWIF SF paid us FMV on our car we totaled and we wehere able to buy 2 identical cars with the settlement money. One if the cars was a SF comparable, the other I found while searching for my own comarables. We had a base model with no options and all the comparables were loaded so they took off $200 for cloth seats and $350 for no moon roof from cars priced $5-7000 higher than the ones we bought.
Moral of story: dont buy fully loaded vehicles | |
