Subject: keep insulin levels in the bloodstream low

Pittsburg, Kansas

That subcutaneous belly fat is stored groceries. To access those stored groceries requires insulin levels to be low because insulin is the switch that tells the body either to store fat or to burn fat. To get rid of the belly fat therefore you need low insulin levels in the bloodstream to burn that fat.

There are three ways to lower insulin levels in the blood. 1. pretty severe calorie restriction. In other words conventional main stream diet thinking. The problem with this method is you will be hungry all the time so it takes willpower essentially permanently. 2. Fasting. Not eating for at least a period during the waking hours long enough to let insulin lower naturally. A lot of people like 16 hour fast with 8 hour eating window. 3. A diet that mimics fasting otherwise called a low carb ketogenic diet. By limiting the carbohydrates (which raises insulin to control blood glucose levels) severely and eating mainly foods that do not raise insulin much (meat protein and fat that comes with the protein) from an insulin standpoint but not energy standpoint it is as if the body is fasting.

This last method puts the body in fat burning mode (low insulin) while maintaining muscle mass (because it is not short on protein and essential fats which maintain muscle) and importantly not being hungry.

The last method is the method I used to lose 100 pounds over about 9 months (6 years ago and have kept it off). I eat all the meat I want and severely limit any carbohydrates such as bread, pasta, rice, and anything with sugar in it.

If that is too long here is one about a minute long.          #mce_temp_url#
