NW Washington | I was a little kid, and the one and only time I was around oats being threshed. I remember the thresher man was named Dutch, and the threshing machine was powered by a Moline model J tractor.
This was a deal where a lot of the neighbors pitched in and helped get the threshing done.
I also got in trouble sneaking off to play in a nearby creek, which I think took place in about 1946. | |
