NE KS | I've planted rye with brome and fescue and have had mixed results. One time I get a good stand of grass the next time nothing. A friend who is big into grass seed says they never plant grass seed into to rye cause the rye will kill it out. Rye chokes out weeds so I assume it does the same to grass seed as well. This last time I seeded a couple acres down I used wheat. We'll see what happens but as of now the wheat looks terrible compared to my rye stand! | |
