| I have replacement heifers on 2 sites, each with a 20x80 silo and similar stocking density. One silo has a Hanson posi-trac and the other a vandale power ring. I have no simple means to scale the corn silage coming off the silos. What kind of throughput are others seeing across a scale in corn silage?
My math says I should have at least 12 months of feed at either location but I always seem to be over feeding a little each day and that causes rationing in mid summer. They are a conveyor and belt feeder off the silo setup | |
