deep SW On. | Only reason I see for an investor buying land is that they want to capture appreciation (or store cash)
A couple of big land investment companies do a buy & release program with farmers. They show good returns as they include any appreciated value in the land as equity on their balance sheet .
If you did a deal Mikado a 50/50split of all costs and returns would seem fair. A separate entity would be needed.
Depends on headaches you desire , often better to buy what you can afford than partner ...Maybe not often, maybe always
Just toss this out , around 1979/80 investors started buying up land as inflated a lot, then ,BOOM.
I don't expect a BOOM but when a lot of off farm money pours into farming sometimes the top is in for awhile | |
