SE IL | SJ72 - 3/22/2025 15:12 Ag Express sells a power cable for the G modem, have it set up as the 2630 being a stand alone unit and put the modem and antenna in a tool bag and just move the tool bag with the 2630, have a few people doing it this way. .
I put all my M modems in a small tote and have them laying in the floor of the machine. The last one I did I put in Milwaukee tool bag we had laying around. The modem needs to be associated with a machine so you will need to re-associate it with the other machine when you move it. I don't know that you would have to do that but it will mess up your record in op center. One nice thing about them being in the totes is that you can see the light flashing and can be sure it's working. I did it this way for convenience but it saves a lot of time on the install. The one in the tool bag I just moved to another tractor that we acquired so that made it a simple task. I don't think there is a simple and neat way to add one of these modems. I got some plugs for a power strip and butt spliced them to a 3 pin receptacle to plug into the harness that the modem comes with. EZPZ. There's only two harnesses coming out of the tote with an older machine, 3 with a newer machine with the CAN receptacle. |
