I have a Roku for streaming things. 

I have a rooftop antenna ($100) that's mounted to an old dish bracket that was already up there. I get 20+ local channels over the air. NBC, ABC, Fox, PBS, ION, etc. 

So I just have to switch between Input 1 (Roku) and TV input if I want streaming vs over the air. If the weather is real bad the over the air won't come in and I've got the local channel's free app on Roku to stream news. They won't show any "network" tv on that app though like football or FBI. Only news and programs they produce.
