Elwynn's mentioned a few times that a "significant" dry weather pattern aka drought consumed a good share of SE Iowa and Central Il in 2005. I've heard the guys at DTN and WorldWeather compare this wet, cool pattern to another cycle, and we are matching up well for a 1974 like year (72,73, and 74) all cool and wet.
