SC Iowa | Jon....good stuff and much to ponder..
is your 4.6 byn ethanol number for 10/11 time period?? If so, that is 300 myn over this year and implies increased corn based ethanol production of about 850 myn gallons.....is there that much capacity being built or off-line today?? Note that the current ethanol boomlet from last fall has run it's course.....blenders are now making the money and etoh plants running near breakeven.....for etoh plants to make a lot of money in next six months, appears they need to be short the corn side of the leg---and have it work for them!
What would we be looking at if those wheat acres had gotten planted last fall??
