Bloomington and Putnam IL
Yep wife has a pretty place at T-Bird. Part of getting skinny was cleaning up the backyard. Did about half the work myself. When she bought the house, couldn't see the lake from the deck. About 4# of sweat push mowing her lot on a hot day. Hope to be able to do that for at least another 15 years? Enjoy Wildwood. We looked at houses there but could never get a deal done.

To answer your question. At 44 I was fat and crippled up. First race around 46 so have no idea, but lots of really fast guys in their 40s. For me, never been as ripped since high school. Have no idea why? Yes, around 60 quite a few of my competitors have got slower and/or don't want to hurt as much on race day. A 60 year old buddy of mine running with me at St. Louis tomorrow and we were close a few years ago but I have the try hard gene and he doesn't so he only beat me twice over the years. Will get him by 3/4 of a mile easy tomorrow...
