
| Dirtroad Farmer - 3/2/2025 09:59 Last week pork loin was on sale for $1.88/lb. That is cheap protein. It was funny in the grocery ad, as the pork loin was at that price for a lb, and there chips and crackers advertised at $3.99 and was for only 10 net ounces.
Pork loins and shoulders, whole chickens, etc. There's a local meat market here that has been selling 40# boxes of chicken for $70. A lot of meat can be had for reasonable prices, if you have a freezer, preferably a vac sealer, and willingness to work just a little rather than buying convenience packages. |
