The one thing you did not mention is addiction.

Some of us were pretty much addicted. We avoid foods for health reasons but saying exceptions is kind of like saying to an alcoholic "well one beer surely would not hurt you".

Food addiction is real and probably as much as anything why people yo-yo diet.

Easy for some people to slip into old bad habbits. Better to just resist temptation. But not everyone. If your friends don't like you because what you will not eat, get new friends.

There is also a difference in carnivore and low carb or low carb ketogenic. If you are eating plant food other than just spices, you are probably not carnivore but instead low carb. Even if it is a meat focused low carb. That is what my wife and I do.

Lunch: meat and cheese sandwich roll up - Ham, salami and cheese with dill pickle slices in the middle with olives for a side. Usually two of the roll up sandwitches, sometimes three, or will sometimes substitute a can of sardines for one of the sandwiches. Plus pork rinds for some crunch.

This is a common "diving lunch" here in Bonaire while we are here scuba diving.
