I know that there have been several medium to larger carriers that have either closed or had crediters shut them down in the last year which has taken trucks off the road. A couple weeks ago there was one in OK with 1200 trucks shut down and they just turned off the fuel cards and left the trucks and drivers stranded. The sales numbers have been twisted over the last couple years because of the emissions stuff. Local complany with about 3000 trucks bought huge numbers of replacements right before the last change and had trucks sitting all over town and are now running out of those and are starting to order again in large numbers before the next change. I do think that overall freight is starting to increase from the low but still has a long ways to go yet to get back to levels of a few years ago.
