I've heard that as well, that giving the brass a bit to cool will help. When I can get the time to go shoot ground squirrels on a field that is loaded with them, a lot of times your shooting pretty rapidly. Could be why I've had to replace a few of those extractors. Barrels can get pretty hot at times... ;)
