One other thought on the magnetic pickup. It is possible the previous owner may have had that set so it would get a signal as the wheel studs passed in front it. In other words the red magnet held it on the portion of the frame holding a wheel with the probe pointed at the wheel hub and close to the studs. As each stud passes in front of the probe a signal is sent.
I looked all over that thing and couldn’t find a magnetic strip or a place that it looked like the magnet sit. |
