Southeastern Tipton County, Indiana

WeatherBug - 2/4/2025 23:06 I guess my experience is the opposite of everyone else's. Imo those spring clamps are far superior to the worm gear style. They're always continuously applying pressure. I've had many worm gear style loosen up. Also had many strip out trying to tighten them. Never have to worry about the head or gear rusting so you can't take it off in the future. I have had a hand full over the years of the type shown that cracked and broke in half.

Agree that this style clamp on the correct size hose is superior for preventing cold coolant leaks.

Those who have trouble usually have a mismatched clamp and hose.
