Southwest Iowa | We just got done doing that this past week. We had to pull the radiator out of our Steiger 500 which meant pulling the hood.
We ran a rachet strap through the front air louver on top of the hood and then put the hooks in the opening where the black part of the grill meets the red fiber glass of the hood. Then we took off the door for accessing the air filters and ran a strap from the hook on the crane to the back part of the hood. We then tied a rope on the front of the hood in case somebody on the ground had to help guide it once in the air.
We got it removed and put back on with it staying in one piece and everybody not getting hurt, so it went well for us. Hope this helps. | |
