We had more even emergence with the case which is what I believe added the bushels. How is that not plausible

My experience is the same. I switch from a Deere planter to a CIH several years ago. I’ve got increased stand for my target and more even emergence. That said, the Deere wasn’t bad. In conventional till, particularly beans, a hard rain before emergence is guaranteed crusting. The closing wheel style of the CIH basically eliminated replanting. In no till cover crops, I think the serrated closing disks pinch the trench better. Now, I just bought a Kinze planter, that was a heck of a deal but it has the CIH style closing system on it. I’ll find out how the Kinze compares.
