On our farm most sets ran for around 12 hours. Most sets would be changed mourning and late evening. Did have some that would get like 18 hours at times. Our small farm size and tending to the irrigation ourselves did allow us to do things different than having employees on the clock tending to it.
I was one at first that was reluctant to use the computer designed hole size programs, because of years of experience, but after using it was glad we took the time to do it. With the fields that have the high in the middle of the field laying two smaller size pipes beside each other with a path between really helped us also. Last year after providing our new tenant with all the hole size and pipe size info I think it showed them what they could learn from using the program. Whether they will slow down and take the time to do it or not is another thing.

What is the name of the program you are using? Thanks! Andy
