North Western Alberta | I have dealt with this very issue in hockey. One thing that works, is to do just as one other on here has said. What I do, is go stand near them, or behind them, and loudly cheer positive things for the team, and the persons kid. If the kid does even one thing positive, cheer loudly, and happily for them, and the rest of the boys, your son included. If his kid or your kid misses, cheer that it was a good try, and keep going! Nothing works better than pouring hot coals on the other head. Tell him after the game, that his kid and the team played great. Even go to the kid, and tell them they played great. It works wonders. Pretty soon, the kid will be realizing who the idiot in the whole deal is. | |
