My best advice is to ride with someone who knows what they are doing for a part of a day. I was intimidated at first but rode with a custom applicator who had 40 yrs of experience in a sprayer. He gave me a ton of tips in an hour or two and made it look easy. I pretty much hit the ground running in my own sprayer later that day
