I did trials doubling back with my 30” planter to make 15s for 3 years. Maybe not a perfect test because some of the rows got ran over to plant second time but i never noticed a difference in emergence. 2/3 years the 30s won by 2-3 bushels. 15s won one year by 4. The years the 30s won were April and early May planted. 15s had advantage in late May.
