As was mentioned already, herbicide half life is a big reason to adjust ph. I haven't done it yet, but plan to this year. As others mentioned, I've been having trouble finding a place that will actually sell me citric acid.
A couple things to watch.... SU chemistries do not like lower ph. Also, 2,4d can salt out with too low of ph. To my understanding, with ph adjustment, the farmer theory of 'more is better' doesn't apply. I've never been a jar tester but it's time for that to change on my farm. Don't need a whole load of cottage cheese in the spray tank.

AMS does very little to adjust ph.
