Take a 1/4" bit and drill all the way through both walls then it won't be an issue with that mag. I have done that with mine and it works well. Then you can drill one side, turn it over and drill the other. My annular cutters have a pilot point in them that is 1/4" and that way the hole will be centered for each hole.
