Expiration is in March of 27', I believe.

Do you know where I can go to get information on this cost share? The family farm has both cropland and a small feedyard we background calves on. I manage all the cropland acres and my dad and brother manage the feedyard, so farming is my niche. But I am not opposed to running some livestock if the numbers look right.

Tentatively my plan is to build a house on these 20 acres, so I imagine that might add some difficulty as to what kind of financial help I can get on it.

I question the March expiration. Any CRP I've been involved with expires the last day of September so October 1st you can do whatever with it. But that is here in Missouri.

Like someone mentioned brush hog it the year before expiration and clean it up.

What kind of grass is on it? I think you can fertilize CRP so you can make it be a good hay crop with some groceries. If it expires in the fall start haying it October 1st. If it is in March then hay accordingly and notill beans after the hay is taken off.
