All 7000 Series tractors had insulation of some sort, even an early one that was open station and had a Year Round cab added, still had a floor mat, and the Year Round had some insulation in the roof and on the sides.

As has been said, Maroon was from 1973 to 1978 when the change to the Black belly happened along with a few other changes. The cab design is different, and there some updates throughout the range, but BOTH transmissions were still offered. Actually 3, but I have never seen a 16 speed Power Director in person, only the 20 Speed version, along with the 12 Speed Power Shift.

If yours is actually a 1974, it should be Maroon belly, but a lot have been painted. If the front of the cab is FLAT at the top of the hood, it's not a 1974 and is a real black belly, if the cab at the top of the hood line bumps forward about 10", then you have a 1974 Maroon tractor that's been painted. Definitely not a big deal, but just something to be aware of as your order parts and especially the cab kit, as they are different.
