Nebraska | If it expires march 1st heres what i'd do: Id hay it off in march as soon as the weather allows you too and let your dad and brother have it or buy it from you or however that works, your choice, they can grind it and slowly get rid of it as roughage as its only 20 acres so your not talking hundreds of bales. Then i'd farm it if you want to build a house someday, ask your crop insurance what you can get for APH, here you take a 1 year hit on CRP ground then get full production after that.
What has worked for me is planting soybeans in crp ground the first year, low input, and helps convert the carbon over from the sod, dont expect a high yield, then the 2nd year it grows EXCELLENT corn
