Probably 5 years back we bought a 12 row 1200 at auction to replace our 12 row 7000. We ran side by side test 2 years between the 1200 and our 1750 6 row. The 6 row was dry fertilizer the 12 was liquid but both were blended to provide the same nutrients. The first year the 1200 made an extra 11 bushel per acre the 2nd year it made an extra 17.5. The 1750 planter has since been replaced by a case 1225.

This is what I was looking for. The tractor is my problem to deal with. My planter tractor is a 4440 but I have a 9200 - I do not farm very much so I have a little time to play around and unhook the digger as I know the 44 is gonna be tough. It comes with a pro 600 and is a 12/30 pivot fold. Never thought about prescription populations. That is really getting me into the 21st century as I have variable soils too.
